They discussed how the West might think about relations with Russia once the war with Ukraine ends, as well as nuclear diplomacy and other critical issues. Gottemoeller was the deputy secretary general of NATO and, before that, served as a senior State Department official. Det ukrainske sjøforsvaret opplyser fredag at et tyrkisk-eid lasteskip har blitt skadet i et målrettet russisk droneangrep. Skipet hadde i forkant seilt ut fra den ukrainske havnebyen Odesa med kurs for Tyrkia.
Ifølge en uttalelse fra sjøforsvaret på Telegram brøt det ut brann om bord på det Vanuatu-flaggede fartøyet som følge av angrepet. To besetningsmedlemmer skal ha blitt skadet i hendelsen, skriver nyhetsbyrået AFP.
