Dette med avstander i rom er interessant. Jeg vet at noen sci-fiserier har gjort et poeng av at en sending kan være forsinket, slik at meldingen fra overkommandoen ofte er en generell betraktning, mens det er kapteinen på romfartøyet som må implementere dette i forhold til den faktiske situasjonen(og hva som kan ha endret seg siden meldingen ble sendt).
Kanskje ikke så alt for langt unna virkeligheten enkelte opplever i dag?...
Vi har jo sett noen eksempler på dette ved romsonder vi har sendt ut allerede.
F.eks bruker signalene fra hhv. Curiosity roveren på Mars, New Horizons ved Pluto og Voyager 1, 14 min, 4,5 timer og 18 timer tilbake til jorden.
Blir interessant å se hva fremtiden bringer.
Kanskje vi engang får fremskutte baser, enten som kolonier på planeter eller romstasjoner, langt fra jorden som kan fungere som operasjonssentraler, og på den måten unngå lange tidsforsinkelser?...
